Job Description Transitional Services for New York, Inc., not-for profit, is a comprehensive, community-based mental health organization located in New York City. TSINY is seeking a Full-Time Program Assistant for their Clinic Program. Salary: $18.51/Hr., Full-Time Position Summary Perform administrative and office support activities. Duties include, but are not limited to, word processing, filing, faxing and compiling statistical reports. Software knowledge, organizational skills and strong communication skills are required. Essential Functions • Maintain patients’ records, physical and electronic, for billing and statistical purposes., • Prepare monthly statistics and productivity reports., • Carry out all administrative responsibilities, such as filing, faxing, copying and word processing., • Maintain office supplies and equipment., • Assist in the preparation of programmatic statistics and productivity reports., • Provide reception coverage, as needed., • Monitor transportation reimbursement (metro cards and half-fare funds) and complete daily carfare disbursement/ PTAR., • Monitor Emergency On-Call System., • Respond to inquiries regarding all outpatient programs and services., • Confirm appointments for psychiatric and health services staff., • Maintain working knowledge of HIPPA regulations., • Participate in all trainings as assigned., • Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation., • May require walking, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation., • Be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation., • During a declared disaster, assume and adhere to assigned Job Action role(s) consistent with Disaster Preparedness Plan. High School diploma, computer literate, excellent typing skills with at least two years progressively responsible related experience. A working knowledge of Excel, including data entry/retrieval and running reports and strong attention to detail. Must be able to type 40 wpm. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task. Basic knowledge of insurances procedures.
