Position Overview We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented General Manager to lead our operation and drive excellence across the business. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our aftermarket vehicle upfitter business, including strategic planning, operational performance, team leadership, and coordination across sales, service, and parts. This role requires strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and a hands-on leadership style to ensure continued growth and operational success. Compensation and Benefits • Competitive base salary $100,000 to $150,000 per year plus Bonus, • Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision), • 401K Location 1000 New Durham Road, Edison, NJ, 08817 Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management • Demonstrate superior leadership, communication, and organizational skills, • Hire, train, and supervise team leaders and technicians, • Establish goals and performance standards for each department, • Maintain strong communication with team members to support profitability and customer satisfaction Financial Management, • Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and allocate resources effectively, • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy, • Implement cost-control strategies to improve profitability, • Drive revenue growth through sales targets, pricing strategies, and market analysis, • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies, • Evaluate and approve investments in projects, equipment, and assets Operational Oversight, • Oversee daily operations, including financial performance and inventory management, • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with business objectives Sales & Marketing, • Collaborate with sales teams to minimize cycle time and improve profitability, • Review sales orders for accuracy and alignment with customer needs, • Represent the company at trade shows and customer meetings to drive business growth Customer Relations, • Address customer concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction, • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partner agencies, • Develop and execute action plans for law enforcement and emergency service contracts Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field (preferred), • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience; industry-specific or automotive experience preferred, • Strong leadership ability with a track record of building and motivating teams, • Strategic thinker with the ability to align decisions with company vision, • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, • Experience managing operations and improving efficiency, • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence, • Adaptable and able to navigate changing priorities, • Strategic planning and execution, • Budgeting and financial oversight, • Team leadership and development, • Process improvement and operational efficiency, • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Financial acumen and analytical thinking, • Proficiency in business systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, MS Office, Excel, workflow tools), • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, • Be part of a respected, growing company with a stellar industry reputation, • Support the critical work of first responders, • Work in a collaborative, energetic, and rewarding culture Powered by JazzHR fV8WAA5Yyn
