Job DescriptionJob Title: Area Manager Job Description As an Area Manager, you will support operations across all packaging and processing areas, including maintenance, processing, and liquids. You will work to ensure all processes run smoothly by identifying and assigning trained, qualified, and quality-oriented personnel. Your role is crucial in supporting and enforcing HR policies while providing constant communication, guidance, coaching, and support to the production team to perform their jobs effectively. Responsibilities • Interface with Materials Management to address raw material inventory control issues., • Review QA documents for special job requirements and forward them to the appropriate team lead., • Collaborate with Project Teams to resolve discrepancies with control documents and planning schedules., • Communicate maintenance support needs to the Maintenance Manager or Lead before job start-up., • Monitor machine set-ups, validations, and materials delivery, expediting as needed., • Oversee all activities performed by operators and technicians during shifts., • Troubleshoot processing, equipment, or utilities problems., • Enforce strict safety, SOP, and GMP compliance within assigned areas., • Identify and maintain staffing needs., • Attend daily production and scheduling/planning meetings to report order status and review upcoming requirements., • Follow hazardous waste, general waste, and recycled waste management and disposal procedures., • Support safety, health, and environmental compliance by adhering to company policies.Essential Skills, • Strong mechanical and electrical skills., • Proficiency in maintenance repair and troubleshooting, including electrical and PLC troubleshooting., • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and packaging machines., • Ability to conduct preventive maintenance., • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or a related field is preferred., • 4 to 6 years of experience in a production setting., • Flexibility to support all shifts as business needs require, including off-shifts., • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate people., • Ability to work well under pressure and possess excellent problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Knowledge of solid dosage manufacturing is preferred., • Well-organized and detail-oriented., • Above average mathematical and analytical skills., • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills., • Ability to interact effectively with various individuals and personalities across departments., • Knowledge and experience in cGMPs and relevant safety regulations (e.g., OSHA)., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards., • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.Why Work Here?
