Job Description POSITION SUMMARY CityParks Soccer teaches kids of all levels the basics of soccer in NYC parks through informal play and free instruction. Use of all equipment is provided. CPF is seeking to hire experienced college players, coaches or PE teachers to provide free soccer instruction to children in NYC parks this Spring, Summer and Fall. Spring and Fall classes will typically take place during afterschool hours or on weekends from 9am - 12pm. Summer classes will take place on weekdays 9:00am - 12:00pm. Instructors will be trained by CPF and will be seasonal employees of the CityParks Play Department. Our program sites are throughout NYC, however staff are usually assigned to work in their borough of residence. We reach almost 80,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY CPF is seeking to hire experienced players, coaches or teachers to teach free beginner tennis lessons to children and seniors in NYC parks. Lessons for seniors are typically held in the Spring and Fall on weekday mornings. Lessons for youth are typically held on weekends in the Spring and Fall and on weekdays from 9-12 noon and 1-4 PM during the summer. Instructors will be trained to teach a standardized curriculum and will be seasonal employees of the CityParks Play department. Our program sites are throughout NYC, however staff are usually assigned to work in their borough of residence. CAMBA operates 6 single adult shelters and 6 family shelters and one drop in center. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. CAMBA’s The Landing Family Shelter is funded by New York City Department of Homeless Services and offers families a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. It provides comprehensive case management services to 169 families who are in a transitional residence program for homeless families. The three story facility has rooms of various sizes, common areas and provides on-site security and social services Position: Client Care Coordinator Reports To: Client Care Supervisor Location: Queens, NY 11369 What The Client Care Coordinator Does: • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality., • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures., • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information., • Assist clients in completing all CAMBA intake applications, screenings and forms., • Create and maintain client files and make file copies., • Conduct initial risk assessment of clients and clients' families., • Prepare initial biopsychosocial evaluation within 30 days of client entry and update according to regulations., • Provide a range of “instant response” services when a client’s immediate well-being and safety is threatened., • In collaboration with clients and case managers, assist in the preparation of initial Independent Living Plan (ILP), including short-term and long-term client goals., • Assist clients in attaining their goals by identifying community resources and by referring clients to appropriate services both within and outside CAMBA (i.e., medical services and psychiatric services, etc.)., • Follow-up with clients and with referral organizations regarding client contact and progress with referral organization., • Consult with others both inside and outside of CAMBA to determine causes of client problems and effect solutions., • Act as advocate on behalf of clients and client families' to arrange for medical, psychiatric, educational and other tests and examinations that may disclose causes of client difficulties and indicate remedial measures., • Attempt to alter clients' and their families' attitudes and behaviors that cause or aggravate problems., • Facilitate or participate in case conferences with all stakeholders in clients life to ensure collaborative approach to services., • Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports., • Lead group counseling sessions and psychoeducation to enhance social development and psychological education of individual clients and provide peer support., • Monitor clients' progress toward their goals via regularly scheduled face-to-face contacts/sessions., • Document client contact via progress notes within 48 hours., • Periodically reassess clients and update services plans and goals to reflect current status., • Follow-up with clients for a period of time after successful completion of their primary goals to assure client stability (aftercare)., • Ensure that all clients’ charts contain all required documentation., • Reach out and market the program internally to the shelter community in order to recruit clients., • Complete weekly unit inspections for clients whom have newborns and/or have ACS involvements, • Complete pre-employment requirements such the State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, The Register of Substantiated Category One Cases of Abuse or Neglect aka Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance and Criminal history information checks via fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services prior to start of employment., • TB test required., • Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment., • Required to become First Aid/CPR certified., • Required to become certified in overdose prevention., • Bilingual Preferred Status: Full-time (35 hours per week) Benefits: CAMBA offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off (vacation, personal, and sick time), and paid holidays. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY City Parks Learn has operated interdisciplinary environmental education programs in schools and parks since 1992. Eco-Innovators is a program for 9th - 12th graders that gives students access to environmental STEM learning and introduces them to NYC infrastructure and leaders as they work to invent creative projects that push the environmental resiliency movement forward in their own communities. Students make real change as they explore urban infrastructure and advocacy tools and learn techniques to help solve challenging environmental issues, including expanding green spaces, increasing recycling and reducing waste, and improving energy efficiency. City Parks Foundation seeks an experienced environmental educator with deep knowledge of and passion for environmental resiliency and community advocacy. Reporting to the Senior Manager of STEM Pathways, the successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in delivering instruction to and working with adolescents in a project-based, out-of-school time setting. During the school year, the Eco-Innovators Program Manager manages and implements after-school programming for up to 25 high school students at each of 4 locations, using site-specific, inquiry-based lessons to stimulate meaningful learning experiences for students in their own communities. In the summer season, the Program Manager will implement an intensive version of the program for continuing juniors/seniors at one site from July through mid-August, Monday through Thursday (9am - 3pm). Eco-Innovators After-School Program takes place at sites in Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. The Program Manager will be required to travel to and from our program sites independently and lead field trips throughout the city, most of which will happen during the Summer Institute session. This internship will primarily work on the SummerStage festival and work alongside to support the SummerStage On-Site Marketing Assistants (one manager citywide and one manager in Central Park) in a broad range of marketing outreach responsibilities. This role is an opportunity to work on diverse projects with massive New York City exposure. This position requires live event, social media and production experience with a proactive and can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving proficiency, and the ability to work outside on nights and weekends.
