Job Description KOMAN Government Solutions, LLC (KGS), a wholly-owned 8(a) subsidiary of the Natives of Kodiak (NOK), provides high-quality remediation, consulting, engineering, waste management, munition and construction services. We have an immediate need for a full-time Treatment Plant Operator located in the vicinity of the Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant (NWIRP), Bethpage, New York. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M), monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing various treatment plants. These may include groundwater treatment plants, wastewater pretreatment/treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants, soil vapor extraction/air sparge (SVE/AS) systems, or other treatment plants. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for general plant and property maintenance and implementation of onsite safety and quality control. Assist with repairs and treatment plant upgrades or modifications., • Prepare daily reports to be emailed to the Project Manager., • Prepare monthly reports including discharge monitoring reports, • Oversee onsite activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations., • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory., • Assist in generating Request for Information and Change Order documents, including labor and materials costs for necessary maintenance., • Prepare internal reports pertaining to job status., • Oversee subcontractors, • Familiarity/experience with operation/control of:, • Remote recovery wells, • Air Stripping, • Bag Filtration, • GAC filtration, • Advance oxidation process (AOP), • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training., • Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator., • OSHA 40 hr HAZWOPER Training preferred., • Basic mechanical skills to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and direct repairs on groundwater extraction and treatment system components., • Ability to work in the field on hazardous waste sites., • Must be able to occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds., • Must be a US citizen and can obtain security clearance/badges for access to secure military installations., • Must possess valid US driver’s license and good driving record. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing materials in a highly regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role ensures all shipments and receipts are accurate, properly documented, and compliant with industry standards and government regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling controlled materials with strict traceability requirements, and is outgoing, keeping track of Shipments and the receipt of materials and products.
