Job Description Senior Bridge Structural Engineer - Hudson Tunnel Project | New York / New Jersey About the Company & Project Our client is a leading global construction consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile, complex, iconic, large-scale capital projects. We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Bridge Structural Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to this landmark project that is poised to deliver transformative impacts across economic, transportation, and environmental sustainability. The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. This is a milestone project that is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history. As the Senior Bridge Structural Engineer, youll play a pivotal role in the delivery of this significant project. Responsibilities • Lead the design and technical review of bridge and structural components, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements, • Provide constructability, feasibility, and value engineering input to optimize bridge design and sustainability, • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals from engineers and contractors, ensuring integration with adjacent project elements, • Offer technical support during construction, resolving field issues and overseeing bridge-related activities, • Monitor construction progress, review RFIs and change orders, and ensure timely delivery of bridge milestones, • Implement and support quality assurance plans, including audits, inspections, and testing compliance, • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and acceptance documentation for structural works, • Contribute to schedule and cost control efforts, and support risk identification and mitigation strategies, • Prepare technical reports and participate in coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, • Bachelors or Masters degree in civil, structural, or related engineering field, • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, • Minimum 10 years of bridge and structural engineering experience, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects, • Familiarity with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance, • Advanced expertise in bridge design, analysis, and construction methods, • Proficiency in structural engineering software and design tools, • Experience with QA/QC processes, testing, and inspection for bridge structures, • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, • Effective communicator with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and produce technical reports Platinum Global Talent Solutions is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals.
