Job Description Introduction We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our vibrant NJ4S team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to support the mental health and well-being of students within Union County. Clinicians will be expected to provide clinical services both in person and through telehealth to students. Clinical services will include screening, brief interventions, facilitating treatment referrals, school consultation and making necessary referrals to community support as needed. Job Responsibilities • Assess, diagnosis, and provide treatment for patients using the DSM-5, for mental health needs., • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop appropriate support and interventions, discharge planning, service coordination., • Demonstrate proficient skill in evidence-based practices and theories to work with students, • Assesses patients and families’ abilities and/or needs that may interfere with rehabilitation progress., • Assists patients and families to fully utilize community resources., • Documents social work intervention in a timely manner., • Coordinates discharge planning and facilities discharge planning rounds., • Determines nature of client’s situation by interviewing client, assessing medical, psychological, emotional, and social information, via virtual and on-site visits., • Monitors planned actions by periodic follow-up., • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, participating in quality reviews and reporting needed changes., • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions., • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential., • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed., • Must be able to perform work responsibilities in various locations., • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills., • Must be sensitive, flexible and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation or any other special needs as reflected in the ability to communicate with staff and/or clients., • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and possess basic computer skills., • Must be available to attend weekend and evening meetings and events as required. *EF, • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment., • Must possess the time management skills necessary to organize and manage multiple priorities and tasks., • Must be authorized to work in the U.S and New Jersey., • Must adhere to Prevention Links administrative, reporting and recordkeeping guidelines to support accurate documentation of activities. *EF, • Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License and an independent mode of transportation. *EF Job Requirements Practitioners must be licensed as one of the following: Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC); Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). Preference for professionals with relevant independent licensure. Experience completing assessments and providing brief individualized clinical interventions to youth and families is required.
