SUMMARY The Junior Accountant supports the Assistant Controller and Finance team with day-to-day accounting operations, balance sheet maintenance, and month-end close activities. This role assists with detailed accounting execution to ensure accurate financial statements, including balance sheet integrity and P&L accuracy, while supporting the overall efficiency of the finance function. The Junior Accountant also supports accounting activities across multiple legal entities and currencies, under the guidance of the Assistant Controller. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in maintaining accurate P&L reporting through proper expense classification, accruals, reconciliations and variance analysis, • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of all balance sheet accounts, schedules, and reconciliations, • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and employee reimbursements, accurately and in a timely manner, • Assist with routine journal entries and general ledger maintenance, • Assist with month-end close, including supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, • Support audit, and tax requests by preparing schedules and responding to information requests, • Maintain organized accounting records to support internal controls and financial statement accuracy, • Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and GAAP standards, • Support with ad hoc projects KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, • 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred, • General understanding of GAAP and accounting principles, • Exposure to balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis preferred, • Proficiency in Excel required; experience with accounting software preferred, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities, • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within the Finance team
