Job Description Job Title: Junior Software Developer / Automation Specialist (Healthcare/TPA) Location: [On-site / Hybrid – Long Island, NY] Department: Information Technology Reports to: Head of IT Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically driven developer to support our IT team in building, maintaining, and automating critical business processes within a healthcare/TPA environment. This role will work closely with the Head of IT to develop internal tools, streamline workflows, and support data-driven operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and related technologies, • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts, • Design and manage reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), • Work within Visual Studio for application development and debugging, • Build and maintain automation workflows using tools such as RoboTask (or similar), • Manage and troubleshoot SFTP processes for secure data transfers, • Support integration and data exchange across internal and external systems, • Assist in maintaining and improving existing codebases and automation processes, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, HR) to implement technical solutions, • Document processes, workflows, and system configurations Required Qualifications • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in software development or programming, • Proficiency in C# and SQL (T-SQL preferred), • Experience with Visual Studio and SSRS reporting, • Familiarity with automation tools (RoboTask or similar), • Experience with SFTP or secure file transfer protocols, • Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry (TPA experience a plus), • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Javelina or Mphasis products, • Exposure to process automation and workflow optimization, • Understanding of data reconciliation, reporting, or financial systems, • Experience working in a small team / high-responsibility environment What Success Looks Like • Reduces manual processes through automation, • Improves reporting accuracy and accessibility, • Supports faster turnaround on IT and operational requests, • Becomes a reliable technical partner across departments NOTE: Interested candidates must include desired salary range to be considered.
