Job Description DISTRICT MANAGER LAYNE’S CHICKEN FINGERS BEAUMONT AREA We are looking to hire a District Manager at our quick service restaurants in the Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange area with high energy and a joy of food. At Layne's Chicken Fingers we take everything seriously except ourselves. Established in 1994, Layne's is THE "born and breaded in Texas" chicken finger restaurant. Layne’s culture stems from our roots in College Station, where back in 1994, we perfected our chicken finger frying technique. True to our roots, we are a fun, fast-paced dynamic team of individuals who do not take ourselves seriously, but we take our food and our service EXTREMELY seriously. Our Store Managers are our HOST's and are responsible for the daily upholding of our core values. Our HOSTs manage a team of officers, because at Layne's we believe everyone we hire is important, so the minimum job title you get is that of an officer. Summary: The District Manager oversees multiple restaurant locations within a designated territory, ensuring the company’s operational excellence, team development, and financial performance. This role is responsible for driving sales, maintaining brand standards, and fostering Layne’s culture of accountability and customer satisfaction. Maintain excellent relationships with employees, piers, owners and guests alike while promoting the professional growth and development of the entire team. This manager must maintain operations and drive results for his/her restaurant, through people development, sales and profit growth. The DM must convey Layne’s culture too and be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to Layne’s Chicken Fingers. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage daily operations across multiple Layne’s locations. Communicate closely with leadership regarding hiring, counselling and separation decisions, and ensure all the company procedures are followed regarding all HR issues., • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and food quality standards., • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance and provide coaching. Train and mentor General Managers and store-level staff. Conduct performance reviews., • Represent Layne’s as well as you can, always in conjunction with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the brand. Connect with the local community actively and constantly reach out to local schools and businesses to try to elevate the popularity of Layne’s in the community., • Collaborate with senior leadership on regional strategies. Launch new initiatives and promotions effectively. QUALIFICATIONS: The intellectual and physical demands described below are representative of what must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • 3-5 years of previous quick service restaurant drive through supervisory experience, • Must be 18 years of age or older, • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to adapt to new systems quickly, • Being a Brand ambassador both in and outside of the restaurant, • Ability to align associates with Layne’s culture by balancing seriousness and having fun, • Have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly and effectively resolve issues that arise with both staff and customers., • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, flexible and adaptable to constant changes and must possess attention to detail, • Food purchasing, food costs and inventory control, • Ability to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets and forecasts, • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reports, • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, • Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines, • Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior, • ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus, • Knowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of restaurant, • Knowledge and skills in staffing, • Knowledge of Labor Laws, • Ability to lead, motivate, and empower the associates to higher levels of performance, • Ability to manage basic tasks, the restaurant’s associates and fiscal operations, • Take initiative, • Have excellent verbal and written skills, • Ability to manage all public dealings in a professional manner, • Ability to recognize problems and problem solve, • Ability to accept feedback and willingness to improve, • Ability to set goals, create plans, and convert plans into action We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
