This role supports both Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs in accordance with NYC Building Code Chapter 17, 1 RCNY §101-06, and the International Building Code (IBC), as applicable to each project. Job DescriptionDescription: About the Role DGA is seeking a motivated Fire Systems Sales Estimator with combined Inside Sales / Business Development Representative (BDR) responsibilities. This role is both customer-facing and technically oriented, requiring the ability to generate new opportunities with electrical and general contractors while accurately estimating parts and labor for fire alarm installations. Experience with Edwards (EST) or other major fire alarm manufacturers is strongly preferred. A strong working knowledge of FDNY regulations, NYC DOB requirements, and NFPA 72 is essential. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: This position is accountable for the following key responsibilities: \n • Establish a process to track the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and lead projects to drive improvement, including defining and measuring all inputs contributing to COPQ.\n, • Support and drive the use of critical tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, CPK, and SPC in new product introduction and existing product quality improvement.\n, • Establish or maintain a quality management system (QMS) that complies with and is certifiable to the latest ISO9001 standards, including maintaining ISO9001 certification and leading surveillance and recertification audits.\n, • Lead a team of quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors to measure and improve supplier, in-process, and manufacturing quality.\n, • Support Supplier Quality Assurance through proactive management of supplier quality data and corrective actions, including first article qualifications, Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), and scorecards.\n, • Coordinate and lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Measures (RCCMs) for containment, corrective and preventative actions, including permanent fixes for customer complaints and internal quality defects.\n, • Lead material review board (MRB) process for the effective disposition of non-conforming material, including collaboration with supply chain, production, engineering, and finance on scrap, re-work, etc.\n, • Lead customer-requested site or virtual audits on Airtech's QMS and business processes. \n, • Define and manage equipment and process for incoming, machining, assembly line, and testing inspection requirements.\n, • Lead investigation for customer-related quality issues to promptly maintain effective communication and resolution.\n, • Develop and maintain the Customer Complaint system ensuring effective resolution of Customer Quality issues, including process, tracking, and reducing RMA and warranty claims.\n, • Responsible for defining the plant quality objectives: monitor and measure internal quality performance such as internal defects, scrap, sorting activities, suspect material review and disposition, first piece approval, and floor audits.\n, • Drives the adoption of 80/20 and continuous improvement to improve the Cost of Quality, first pass yield, and operating costs.\n, • Responsible for Quality training and awareness in the organization by ensuring the right application of Quality Tools and Quality Expertise.\n, • Responsible for optimizing and standardizing plant quality documentation including utilization of standard document control systems.\n\n QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Justice Center envisions a safe and resourced Brownsville where all residents can thrive. The Justice Center focuses on engaging young people most impacted by criminal legal systems and community violence as leaders and innovators to create community driven public safety solutions. BCJC is seeking a Program Manager, Youth Initiatives. Reporting to the to the Project Director, the Program Manager will serve as a leader within the BCJC, overseeing the strategy, execution, and evaluation of youth and community programs that advance youth opportunity, community safety, and equity. The Program Manager will be responsible for program innovation, cultivating leadership, partnership development, and ensuring compliance with contractual and grant requirements. This position centers on developing experiential and project-based youth programs designing impactful public events, leveraging data and community voice, and aligning BCJC's resources to deliver high-impact community benefit and reinvestment. The role requires strong project management, experience in grassroots and civic engagement strategies, and a deep commitment to youth leadership, justice, equity, and place-based work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategic Program Development: • Utilize data, community input, and youth feedback to identify opportunities for community safety interventions in neighborhood hotspots;, • Design and lead youth and community programs that integrate project-based learning, youth organizing, civic engagement, and experiential learning opportunities; and, • Facilitate youthled planning and execution of community interventions and events such as the [B] Live Arts and Music Festival, the Be On Belmont campaign, and other cornerstone initiatives;, • Identify and implement new opportunities for community-based programming and public engagement; and, • Monitor progress toward key program deliverables, including recruitment, participation, and engagement goals;, • Implement course corrections as needed to ensure successful program, project and event outcomes; and, • Oversee the development and maintenance of systems to track subcontractor services, program resources, and community partnerships; and, • Proactively seek sponsorships and funding to support program growth and event execution; regularly pitch partnership opportunities to public, private, and philanthropic stakeholders; and, • Manage the Community Initiatives team, providing regular supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations; and, • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, reporting deadlines, and budgetary parameters for all assigned initiatives and contracts; and, • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, nonprofit management, youth development, urban planning, or a related field, Master's degree strongly preferred and a minimum 3–5 years of experience in youth and community organizing, program design, youth development, or event planning required;, • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale public events and youth-centered programming;, • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams;, • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously;, • Advanced communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse audiences and represent the organization externally;, • Experience with data tracking, evaluation, and reporting;, • Deep commitment to racial equity, restorative justice, and community-led approaches to safety and well-being; and Position Location: Brownsville, Brooklyn.
