Our client, a well-established High Country law firm with a busy real estate practice, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal/Closer. We need someone with HANDS-ON RESIDENTIAL LOAN CLOSING EXPERIENCE who can step into an existing closing operation and work independently with minimal training. \n The ideal candidate will have direct experience handling residential loan closings from receipt of contract through signing, funding, and recording, and will be comfortable working with lenders, realtors, buyers, sellers, attorneys, and other parties involved in the closing process. Experience with cash and commercial closings is a plus, but RESIDENTIAL LOAN CLOSING EXPERIENCE IS THE #1 PRIORITY. \n \n RESPONSIBILITIES: \n THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS PREPARING AND COORDINATING RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE LOAN CLOSINGS, INCLUDING: \n\n • Preparation of Closing Disclosures (CDs), HUD-1 Settlement Statements\n, • Maintaining communication with the client, client’s realtor, lender, title insurance providers, other attorney(s), and the firm’s title search team to ensure timely, smooth closings.\n, • Prepare and review deed packages, contract addendums, easements, and related legal documents necessary to close transactions under attorney supervision.\n, • Conduct and/or assist with funding, recording, and post-closing matters.\n, • Maintain organized files and ensure deadlines are met.\n, • Assist with cash and commercial real estate transactions as needed.\n\n \n REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: \n\n • Prior direct experience with handling residential loan closings and preparing Closing Disclosures (CDs) is REQUIRED.\n, • Proficiency with SoftPro.\n, • Ability to manage closings independently and efficiently.\n, • Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and client service skills.\n, • NC Notary Public is a plus.\n\n
