Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Surgical Technician to join our team. The Surgical Technician will play a vital role in supporting our surgical operations by ensuring the highest standards of care, organization, and efficiency. This position primarily supports plastic surgery procedures and requires a team-oriented individual who is motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Job Responsibilities: • Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for each procedure, ensuring all necessary equipment and sterile supplies are available and functioning properly., • Scrub into surgical cases, primarily plastic surgery procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and ensuring adherence to sterile technique at all times., • Clean, assemble, and sterilize instruments and equipment using approved methods and in compliance with infection control and safety protocols., • Maintain accurate records of sterilization and equipment maintenance to meet all compliance and regulatory standards., • Monitor supply levels, restock surgical suites, and communicate supply or equipment needs to management to ensure uninterrupted surgical operations., • Assist with the safe transport and positioning of patients for surgical procedures, adhering to patient safety and comfort protocols., • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure smooth procedural flow and optimal patient outcomes., • Support administrative and clinical tasks as needed, such as maintaining procedure logs, inventory documentation, or assisting in preparation for upcoming cases., • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred, or Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Completion of an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps., • Strong understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures., • Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively within a team environment., • Self-motivated and able to anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient case progression., • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with staff and patients., • Demonstrates sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.
