Position Summary: Primary Vascular Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Vascular Technician (RVT or RVS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of vascular and 1–2 years of venous insufficiency experience with a strong foundation in non-invasive vascular ultrasound. This role is essential in providing high-quality vascular diagnostics and supporting patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment in accordance with PVC's policies and protocols. * Practice proper patient identification and review all supporting clinical documentation prior to each exam. * Evaluate contraindications, assess for inadequate patient prep, and determine patient tolerance for procedures. * Perform diagnostic medical sonography exams as ordered, with special attention to venous reflux protocols and vascular pathology but not limited to only insufficiency studies. * Acquire additional images as necessary to ensure comprehensive and diagnostic-quality exams. * Use proper patient positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques to promote comfort and safety for both the patient and sonographer. * Identify and clearly document exam limitations, relevant findings, and incidental findings that may impact care. * Maintain patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA and uphold infection control standards using Universal Precautions. * Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; promptly report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department. * Collaborate with clinical staff, physicians, and administrative teams to support efficient and accurate workflow. * Support compliance with IAC and facility quality standards. * Maintain education and certifications in sonography through ongoing professional development. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Our dedicated team of more than 45 sheltering, medical, and animal behavior professionals work closely with the ASPCA Animal Hospital, Forensics, Legal Advocacy and Investigations, Behavioral Sciences, Shelter Medicine Services, Community Engagement, Placement, and the Adoption Center teams to ensure coordinated response and operations, and holistic, balanced, high quality care for the animals we serve. The Licensed Veterinary Technician at the ASPCA Canine Annex for Recovery and Enrichment (CARE) is responsible for a broad range of medical and administrative tasks in the CARE that serves animals admitted through the NYPD Partnership program. The LVT delivers compassionate nursing care and has a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology, shelter medicine, behavior, and proficient mathematical skills. Summary: The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) is designed to provide life-saving care and relieve suffering for animal victims of cruelty and neglect who come to us through internal partners (our own ASPCA adoption center, kitten nursery, and community advocate team) and external partners (NYPD and other NYC organizations). Job Description Licensed Veterinary Technician working in Internal Medicine (IM) performing Dialysis must be able to perform at a high level of practice with minimal supervision. The role includes assisting internists with appointments, client communication, and collaborating with staff doctors to make daily assessments and procedures run smoothly and efficiently. The Internal Medicine & Dialysis LVT assists with dialysis catheter placement and urinary and scoping procedures. This role will also assist with running Dialysis and extracorporeal therapy treatments. Job Description The Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology Service is critical to the lifesaving work we do at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, providing timely diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning of diseases in companion animals. As a Diagnostic Imaging technician, you'll operate our computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines to obtain quality images for our radiologists and other board-certified specialists across the hospital. Diagnostic Imaging technicians work together as a team to provide the highest quality care to our patients. While one technician is scanning and capturing images, another technician functions as a primary anesthetist and monitors the patient. Our technicians are excellent communicators and collaborators who work with multiple departments at AMC and coordinate multiple imaging procedures each day. We also occasionally get special visitors from local zoos and aquariums that require our advanced imaging services to better help the animals in their care.
