About the Company The Gotham Sports App, the exclusive TV Everywhere and DTC streaming home of the YES Network and MSG Networks, launched in October 2024 and provides New York sports fans with access to their favorite programming and teams all in one location. About the Role We’re looking for a data-driven, detail-oriented Marketing Associate to support lifecycle marketing efforts for the Gotham Sports App. This role will focus on executing customer-facing campaigns across email, push, and in-app channels, helping drive engagement, retention, and overall user growth. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this person will play a key role in bringing campaigns to life, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities to optimize the fan experience. Responsibilities • Omnichannel Lifecycle Execution: Support the execution of customer-facing communications across email, push notifications, and in-app messaging to drive retention and engagement. You’ll partner closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to build, QA, and deploy campaigns., • Growth Optimization: Assist in designing and executing A/B tests across the user journey. You’ll help analyze performance and contribute ideas to optimize messaging, incentives, and in-app features like Live Stats and Live Rewind., • Brand Voice & Fan Engagement: Act as the 1:1 voice of the fan. You’ll pivot messaging seamlessly between teams and sports, ensuring our communication feels authentic to each specific fanbase while maintaining the Gotham Sports brand standards., • Paid Media Strategy & Operations: Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager and external agencies to support paid marketing efforts across Meta, Google, and programmatic platforms. Assist with campaign setup, monitoring, and performance tracking., • Creative Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and designers to help bring campaigns to life. You’ll support briefing, timelines, and asset delivery to ensure campaigns are on-brand and delivered on time., • Rapid Data Analysis: You don’t just "look" at data—you use it to make moves. You will monitor campaign performance daily, interpreting attribution models and dashboard metrics to pivot tactics in real-time. Qualifications • 2–4 years of marketing experience, specifically within media, streaming, or a subscription-based product (SVOD)., • Sports Fluency: A working knowledge of the NY/NJ sports landscape. You know the difference between a "Blue Seats" fan and a "Bleacher Creature.", • The Hybrid Mindset: Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization. You are comfortable reporting to one lead while collaborating daily with another, all while maintaining the "startup speed" required for a streaming app., • Data-Driven: A natural inclination to ask "what does the data say?" before making a creative or tactical decision. Required Skills • Braze Power User: Proven experience with Braze Canvas is essential. You must be comfortable with Liquid logic for deep personalization and understanding API-triggered campaigns., • Attribution & Tracking: Proficiency with AppsFlyer (or similar MMP). You should be comfortable building and managing tracking links and understanding how they feed into attribution modeling., • Paid Media Dashboards: Hands-on experience navigating the backends of Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads to monitor spend, reach, and conversion health., • Platform Literacy: Familiarity with MixPanel (or a similar Data Visualization tool) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, or Monday.com)., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • Experience in sports marketing or related fields preferred Pay range and compensation package Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 Medical/Dental/Vision/Life insurance, FSA/HSA, parental leave, transit commuter benefits, 401k w/ employer match.
