Job DescriptionJob Title: Engineering Lead Job Description As an Engineering Lead, you will develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives, focusing on quality, efficiency, and profitability. You will build and maintain a strong engineering team by promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will provide expert guidance on the design, development, and optimization of deep drawn metal stamping processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Responsibilities • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technology and software solutions to enhance product design and manufacturing processes., • Direct and oversee multiple engineering projects from initial concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery within budgetary constraints., • Utilize project management methodologies, such as Agile and PMBOK, to effectively manage project metrics, risk assessment, and resource allocation., • Conduct thorough analysis of existing metal stamping operations to identify inefficiencies, implement Six Sigma methodologies, and drive initiatives for process optimization., • Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis to facilitate continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency.Essential Skills, • Expertise in metal stamping, • Experience in engineering management, • Strong project management skills, • Proficiency in SolidWorks, • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologiesAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, • 10+ years of experience in metal stamping, • 5+ years of experience managing, leading, or project managingWork Environment The work environment includes a team of 200 people onsite in New Jersey. This site is part of a division focused on metal forming for customers. The position requires being onsite five times a week. You will have the opportunity to see products go from concept to completion and be exposed to various industries including medical device, aerospace, defense, and manufacturing. This is a small company environment where you can learn extensively and manage your own projects. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
