Director for a small/private Montessori school (44 students/4 staff) Duties include all administrative paperwork and recordkeeping. Working with Dept. of Licensing and other government agencies. All interviewing of potential students and staff. Overseeing staffing. Some bookkeeping.
Provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for children. Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain daily communication with families through reports, conversations and digital platforms. Support toddlers in routines such as diapering, potty training, feeding and napping. Observe and document children's developmental progress and behaviors Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain classroom organization and compliance with licensing standards. Follow the center's policies, procedures, and curriculum guidelines, Attend staff meetings and required training sessions. Model respectful behavior and encourage positive social interactions among children.
