Job Description In order to continually provide our members with the highest level of service, Affinity FCU is seeking a Part-Time Relationship Specialist to join our team of professionals at our branch location in Piscataway, NJ. The starting pay range for a new hire in this role is $21-$23 per hour. The wage/salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several qualifying factors, including but not limited to: years of relevant experience, years of industry experience, education, etc. Relationship Specialists are responsible for building member relationships by providing exceptional financial support and advice through a consultative and educational approach helping members exceed their financial goals and dreams. This position is responsible for opening new accounts, enrolling new members during initial consultation, processing applications, resolving complex member issues and following up with members to ensure satisfaction with present products and services and to inquire about the status of future member needs. Successful candidate must be technologically savvy especially as it relates to self-service options and keeps abreast of evolving consumer needs and trends. Additionally, candidate must adapt well to new or non-traditional environments and display a commitment to the community, to increasing member engagement and to Affinity’s corporate objectives. Banking experience is helpful, but not required. Prior CRM experience, preferably Salesforce is desired. Successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports, • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure, • Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets, • Prepares for audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements\, • Accurate and timely processing of accounts payables, • Ensure that the quarterly 5300 report is submitted accurately and on time, • Review documentation of the investments, prepare monthly and quarterly investment reports in accordance to Regulation, • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency, • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies and procedures, • Previous experience in accounting, • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP, • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools, • Detail and deadline-oriented, • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, • Knowledge of financial institution accounting/finance processes, functions, and workflows, • Willingness to expand role as needed to gain greater knowledge, skills, and abilities
