Position: Technical Assistant Department: Administrative Services – Human Resources Division Salary: Range: $22.26 – $25.77/hour Non-Exempt – Overtime Eligible Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Technical Assistant – Human Resources provides administrative and technical support to the Human Resources Division within the Administrative Services Department with a primary focus on accurate data entry and maintenance within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role also supports other HR areas of focus including recruiting, on/off boarding, evaluations, and employee benefits by ensuring timely and precise updates to data input, documentation, reporting and inquiries. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and proficiency with HR systems and data. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Enter and update employee information within the HRIS and other third party systems, including new hires, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations., • Support timekeeping processes by reviewing timecard submissions, correcting discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and labor laws, and assisting supervisors with related inquiries., • Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the HRIS inbox and other HRIS related inquiries, routing or escalating items as needed., • Assist with maintaining HRIS data, including employee records, payroll information, and benefits data ensuring data integrity, and data inputs are timely, accurate, and compliant with relevant policies and regulations., • Participate in HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades and new feature rollouts., • Assist employees with basic HRIS inquiries and direct more complex questions to appropriate HR staff.
