Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Intern will support the Human Resources Department while gaining hands-on experience in day-to-day HR operations. This role is designed for a student who is eager to learn and explore the field of Human Resources while working closely with the HR Business Partner and BCA’s leadership team. The HR Intern will assist with a variety of administrative and people-focused tasks and gain exposure to real-world HR practices in a professional environment. REPORTS TO: HR Business Partner ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Support and execute HR projects from start to finish, including organizing tasks, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines, • Assist in improving and streamlining HR processes, • Support the organization and optimization of the HR shared drive, including structuring folders, cleaning up files, and improving overall accessibility, • Update and standardize HR templates, forms, and internal documentation, • Assist with recruitment coordination, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates, • Support onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth and welcoming new hire experience, • Help plan and coordinate employee engagement activities and internal events, • Assist with a variety of tasks and projects as needs evolve EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • Actively pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality, • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude, • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once, • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative, • Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships across the organization WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: • The full recruitment lifecycle, from resume screening to interview coordination, • How onboarding works behind the scenes and how HR supports new employees, • Best practices for maintaining employee records and HR documentation, • How HR supports employee engagement, culture, and workplace communication, • Professional communication skills and how to interact with employees at all levels, • Exposure to HR systems, processes, and real-world problem solving in a business setting
