    General Manager (Confidential) Location: Hauppauge, NY Industry: Transportation Salary: $100,000 & Up annually (DOE) Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site Role Overview A well-established transportation organization is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily business operations, logistics, warehouse activity, and commercial sales performance. This role has full responsibility for operational execution, team leadership, and driving results across multiple functional areas. The General Manager serves as a hands-on leader, ensuring operational discipline, revenue performance, and cross-team alignment while continuously improving systems, processes, and profitability. Core Responsibilities Business & Operations Leadership • Direct day-to-day operations across logistics, warehouse, local service execution, and commercial functions., • Establish clear performance expectations, accountability standards, and operating procedures., • Monitor business performance using operational and financial metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities., • Develop and execute strategies to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability., • Provide regular performance reporting and operational insights to senior leadership. Warehouse, Fleet & Asset Oversight • Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and outbound preparation., • Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and workload management., • Maintain accurate inventory and asset tracking systems., • Support the evaluation and implementation of warehouse or inventory management tools., • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and secure., • Lead loss prevention initiatives and enforce equipment accountability standards.
