Job Description We are seeking several Order Selectors to join our growing team! This is for a brand-new location on Long Island! MUST HAVE ELECTRIC PALLET JACK, STAND UP FORKLIFT and High Lo Reach Truck EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED! Shifts are Mon-Thurs 4PM until done • Operate hand jacks and/or Material Handling Equipment experience in operating material handling equipment such as hand jacks, forklifts, reach’s, order pickers, and other various material handling equipment., • Operate material handling equipment up to 95% of the time., • Selection and preparation of customer orders in a manner that insures complete fulfillment of each customer order., • Accurate receipt and documentation for inbound product Affixes pallet tags and marks materials with other identifying information upon receipt., • Places items on racks, shelves or bins, • Rotates stock to enable oldest stock to be most accessible for picking., • Physical work, Heavy lifting (50lb bags of baking ingredients)

Job Description Position Overview The Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, building, and staging customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures products are picked and prepared according to company standards while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety. Essential Responsibilities • Pick up proper selecting documents prior to the order selection process, • Select and separate products by account and stop number as designated by computer-generated label, • Match product descriptions with label descriptions to ensure order accuracy, • Build pallets according to customer guidelines and delivery requirements, • Maintain production standards while minimizing selection errors, • Transport completed orders using a stand-up electric pallet jack to the appropriate staging area, • Return completed selecting documents to designated collection site per Shipping Department procedures, • Maintain safe work practices and follow all company safety protocols, • Maintain good attendance and reliability, • Safeguard confidential company information, • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned Minimum Qualifications • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 80 pounds, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb frequently throughout the shift, • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures (cold to warm environments), • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, • Strong dependability, thoroughness, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, • Experience operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, stock picker), • Experience in food distribution or high-volume warehouse operations, • Basic technical understanding of warehouse equipment (electrical and mechanical) Ferraro Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
