Job Description Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to serve as the Clinical Leads of multidisciplinary treatment teams. As a Psychiatrist at CDPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered and recovery focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 year of age or older; including: • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions, • Creating treatment plans including medication management, • Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed, • Providing individual and group psychotherapy, • Supervising Psychiatric Residents and Fellows Minimum Qualifications - Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they have a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and have certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). OR Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
