This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and high-net-worth clientele, providing comprehensive legal counsel in the areas of trusts, estates, probate law, and estate planning. If you are a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering top-notch legal services, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: Provide expert legal counsel to clients on all aspects of trusts and estates law, including estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate plans, ensuring they align with client goals and comply with current laws and regulations. Represent clients in Surrogate's Court proceedings and litigate matters related to trusts and estates, including will contests, trust disputes, and estate administration issues. Conduct comprehensive client counseling sessions to understand their specific needs, goals, and financial situations, and provide tailored legal advice. Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other relevant professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans that minimize tax liabilities and protect client assets. Keep abreast of changes in trusts and estates law, probate law, and related areas, and update clients and team members on these changes. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and client confidentiality. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Trusts & Estates Attorney. Demonstrated expertise in trusts and estates law, probate law, estate planning, and Surrogate's Court practice. Proven experience in litigation, particularly in matters related to trusts and estates. Strong skills in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including wills, trusts, and estate plans. Excellent client counseling skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and deliver tailored legal advice. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and client confidentiality.
