Requirements: Princeton Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a conscientious and compassionate Orthopaedic Physician Assistant with a focus on spine. The ideal candidate is patient-centric, flexible, adaptable, dependable, and treats each member of the team, whether clinical or non-clinical, as a valued part of the team. Our expert surgeons and PA’s work collaboratively to provide outstanding quality to our operative and non-operative patients. Candidates are responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeon. These include but are not limited to seeing patients in the office setting, assisting in surgery and office procedures, taking call, evaluation of orthopedic diagnoses, and coordination of the patient care pathway. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Works alongside assigned physician, splitting their time between the operating room and clinic., • Provides professional medical services to new and established patients under the supervision of the Physician to which they are assigned. This includes, but not limited to, taking a medical history, performing physical examination, ordering, and interpreting laboratory and x-ray examination, developing a treatment plan, providing patient education, and applying casts, braces, and splints., • Documents patient records in a timely, understandable, complete, and accurate manner., • Demonstrates up-to-date medical knowledge and technical ability when delivering patient care., • Manages patient workflow effectively and efficiently in a manner that enhances patient care., • Assists in surgery, conducts hospital rounds, writes orders, and formulates and implements a treatment or therapeutic plan for hospitalized patients., • Dictates history and physicals, discharge summaries, and other hospital notes., • Orders, prescribes, dispenses, and administers medications, orthosis, orthotics, braces, and other orthopedic devices as needed within scope of practice., • Promptly completes and maintains medical and billing records., • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field; Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, • Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of New Jersey, • Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests, • Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and electronic health records systems, • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to disclose the compensation range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $100,000 - $164,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, as well as benefits.
