Follows safety procedures and guidelines with adaptive equipment, wheelchairs, special standers, walkers, strollers, and other pieces of equipment, seeking guidance when needed., • Acts as a good role model by maintaining appropriate classroom behavior and conversation in front of students and visitors at all times., • Maintains a positive and cooperative attitude at all times., • Is prepared and punctual for meetings, conferences, and trainings. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to relate well to children with disabilities and to establish relationships with children with unique special needs; to learn and understand each child's individual needs and to carry out program objectives; to learn the use of and operate adaptive equipment; to perform strenuous physical activity including supporting, lifting, and transferring a minimum of 50 pounds; to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing; to adhere to personnel policies and procedures; to establish and maintain proper working relationships with children, supervisors, administrators and parents; to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to universal health precautions.
