A Patient Care Technician Instructor position is available courtesy of Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom and hands-on training to prepare students for entry-level roles in the healthcare field. This role focuses on developing students’ clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviors necessary for success in patient care settings. The instructor will support student learning through structured curriculum delivery, evaluation, and mentorship. Location: Newark, NJ Employment Type: Temp/contract (long-term and possible temp-hire) Work hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm Hourly pay range: $40.00-$48.00/hr. (based on experience) Key Responsibilities • Deliver classroom instruction and hands-on training in accordance with the approved curriculum, • Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with course objectives and syllabus, • Teach core PCT topics including:, • Basic Anatomy & Physiology, • Medical Terminology, • Body Systems, • Electrocardiography (EKG), • Phlebotomy, • Home Care Systems, • Facilitate engaging lectures, demonstrations, and lab activities, • Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills, • Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, lab skills, and attendance, • Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate academic records, • Support students’ academic progress and readiness for employment, • Maintain an organized, safe, and effective learning environment, • Demonstrate professionalism, preparedness, and strong organizational skills Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree (BSN or related field) from an accredited institution Experience • Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in a healthcare or academic setting, • 3–5 years of nursing experience, • Experience working in an urban or community-based setting preferred Licensure & Certifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey Skills & Competencies • Strong communication and instructional skills, • Ability to engage and motivate adult learners, • Knowledge of patient care procedures and clinical standards, • Organizational and time management skills, • Ability to evaluate and support student performance Work Environment & Physical Requirements • Combination of classroom and hands-on training environments, • Frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, and light physical activity, • Exposure to healthcare training equipment and potential communicable illnesses, • May involve non-traditional training environments Why work for Adecco? • Weekly Pay, • 401(k) Plan, • Skills Training, • Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
