This will be an outpatient opportunity To learn more about this practice, please click the link below About the Role: The Physician Assistant (PA) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare across diverse medical settings including emergency medicine, urgent care, family medicine, and primary care. This position involves collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The PA will be responsible for performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and providing patient education to promote health and wellness. In addition, the role requires managing trauma and critical care cases with precision and empathy, often in fast-paced environments. Ultimately, the PA contributes significantly to improving patient outcomes by delivering timely, evidence-based medical interventions and fostering strong patient-provider relationships. Minimum Qualifications: • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program., • Current Physician Assistant certification (e.g., NCCPA) and state licensure to practice in the United States., • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications., • Demonstrated clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine settings., • Experience in pediatrics, surgery, trauma, or critical care environments., • Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)., • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telemedicine platforms., • Strong communication and patient education skills tailored to diverse populations., • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to assess health status and identify medical conditions., • Diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries in settings such as emergency departments, urgent care clinics, and family practice offices., • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work and imaging studies to inform treatment plans., • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians., • Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance to empower informed decision-making., • Assist in surgical procedures and manage preoperative and postoperative care as needed., • Respond promptly to trauma and critical care situations, stabilizing patients and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The required skills such as emergency medicine, urgent care, and family medicine are essential for assessing and managing a broad spectrum of patient conditions daily. Proficiency in patient education enables the PA to effectively communicate complex medical information, fostering patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans. Skills in pediatrics, surgery, critical care, and trauma are applied in specialized scenarios requiring rapid decision-making and precise clinical interventions. Primary care expertise supports the management of chronic diseases and preventive health strategies, ensuring continuity of care. Together, these skills allow the Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across multiple healthcare settings, adapting to the dynamic needs of each clinical environment.
