    Newark Food Factory, powered by Ideal Institute of Technology, is seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook will prepare high-quality meals, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and support catering, special events, takeout, delivery, and culinary training activities. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, portion standards, and instructions from the Head Chef., • Set up and stock assigned cooking stations before each shift., • Assist with catering orders, private events, takeout, and delivery preparation., • Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures., • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas., • Label, date, rotate, and properly store food products., • Monitor inventory and report low-stock items to the Head Chef., • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries., • Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly., • Follow all Newark Food Factory safety policies and kitchen procedures., • Work cooperatively with chefs, kitchen staff, students, and event personnel., • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned., • Perform additional kitchen-related responsibilities when needed. Qualifications • Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, catering, or commercial kitchen experience is preferred., • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety., • Ability to follow recipes and verbal instructions., • Strong attendance, punctuality, and teamwork skills., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment., • Willingness to learn and accept feedback., • ServSafe Food Handler or ServSafe Manager certification is preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe., • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for extended periods., • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds., • Ability to work around hot equipment, sharp utensils, and refrigerated areas., • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks safely. Schedule Flexible availability may be required, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and special events. THE ROLE As a Mixer at THISBOWL, you’ll be an ambassador of our core values. You’ll be responsible for providing personalized customer experiences, walking our guests through the menu and making wholesome bowls from scratch. The make-line moves fast and it moves together, meaning you’ll rotate across stations, communicate constantly and back up your teammates without being asked. Job title: Mixer Employment type: (Hourly) Full-Time or Part-Time Compensation: $27-$35 per hour (includes base pay of $18-22 per hour + estimated tips of $9-$13 per hour). Every 6 months, mixers are eligible for performance-based bonuses. Actual tip earnings may vary and are not guaranteed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Together with your fellow Mixers, Service Captains, and your Restaurant Manager you'll create delicious bowls and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You’ll be expected to: • Make wholesome bowls from scratch., • Deliver superior customer service, to every customer, every time., • Operate a point-of-sale (POS) register to complete customer transactions., • Cross-train across every station in the make-line and move between stations—including the cooking of our hot proteins., • Live out THISBOWL’s people and culture standards by contributing to an excellent work culture. Role and Responsibilities As a member of Citarella’s Seafood Team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining deep knowledge of our premium seafood offerings. This position requires pride in product presentation, attention to safety and sanitation standards, and a strong sense of teamwork.
