Location: New York Position: Litigation Paralegal, AmLaw100 Onsite Logistics: Midtown - 3 days onsite per week Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 OT and Bonus Position Overview The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys across all stages of litigation, including investigations, discovery, document review, deposition preparation, motion practice, trial preparation, and courtroom support. The ideal candidate will have strong law firm litigation experience, excellent organizational skills, and comfort managing large volumes of documents and discovery materials. Key Responsibilities • Assist attorneys with case management from initial intake through resolution., • Participate in client and witness interviews, investigations, fact analysis, and case strategy calls as needed., • Coordinate background searches, public records research, arbitrator searches, and biographical summaries., • Analyze documentary evidence and prepare chronologies, timelines, and factual summaries., • Coordinate with outside vendors, including court reporters, court personnel, litigation support vendors, and eDiscovery providers., • Assist with proofreading, cite checking, fact checking, case law retrieval, Shepardizing, and citation verification., • Research local court rules, filing requirements, and procedural guidelines., • Manage and organize large volumes of documents, including client document collections., • Perform complex searches and manage discovery matters in Relativity and other web-based review platforms., • Collaborate with internal eDiscovery teams to ensure attorney and case team needs are met., • Assist with compiling data and running litigation-related data analytics., • Prepare templates and initial drafts of pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and related legal documents., • Prepare deposition testimony categorizations using Opus 2 Magnum or similar deposition review tools., • Coordinate filing and e-filing procedures in partnership with the docketing team., • Support statements of fact by reviewing declarations, depositions, and documentary evidence., • Organize and prepare trial materials, including pleadings, witness preparation materials, trial notebooks, exhibits, deposition designations, and demonstratives., • Attend and assist attorneys in hearings, trials, and arbitrations., • Use digital presentation tools in courtroom settings., • Provide direction and guidance to project assistants assigned to case teams., • Meet a target of approximately 1,500 billable hours. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required., • ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred., • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or specialized litigation practice environment., • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines., • Excellent attention to detail, research ability, and written and verbal communication skills., • Experience with litigation support software and document review platforms preferred., • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, and internet-based legal/fact research tools., • Experience with Relativity, Everlaw, Opus 2 Magnum, deposition management software, and document management systems strongly preferred.
