Education Requirement: * Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Education, Psychology, or Social Work * At least 18.0 credit hours from an accredited college or university in the field of Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field preferred Experience Requirement: * Minimum of three (3) years experience in urban education, youth development or community organizing with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. * Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with youth & adolescents in New York City. Shift Supervisors are responsible for a variety of specialized assignments in a homeless shelter; in addition, experience in site management and staff supervision is needed as well as previous experience in working with clients with mental health issues. The shift supervisor will report to the Director of Program Operations. Shift Supervisors will oversee designated operations of the shelter, supervising a team of Residential Aides and working in coordination with Social Services, Maintenance and Security Staff.
