Job Description Administrative & Office Assistant (Temp-to-Perm) Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm Location: Rockville Centre, NY (100% In-Office) Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Compensation: Competitive Hourly (Temp Phase) | $50,000 Target Salary (Upon Permanent Conversion) Target Industries: Construction, Architecture, Real Estate, or Property Management About the Opportunity Winston Staffing has partnered with a premier, fast-growing organization in Rockville Centre that operates at the intersection of design, build, and property management. We are seeking an immediate, temporary Administrative & Office Assistant who can hit the ground running. For a high-energy, tech-savvy coordinator who proves to be a great cultural and operational fit, for this temporary - Hire role. You will serve as the central operational anchor of the office, directly supporting a highly active, field-based Principal while managing the daily rhythm of a multifaceted business environment. Key Responsibilities • Administrative Support & Calendar Management: Act as the critical link between the central office and field operations. Manage the Principal's complex schedule, anticipate conflicts, and ensure seamless communication while they are on-site., • Frontline Communications: Seamlessly handle heavy incoming phone lines with a professional, crystal-clear demeanor. Serve as the organized face and voice of the firm for clients, subcontractors, and tenants., • Digital & Inbox Organization: Fully own the Microsoft Outlook 365 environment. Manage high-volume email traffic, prioritize urgent inquiries, and keep digital project folders impeccably organized., • Office Coordination: Take ownership of the physical workspace. Maintain inventory, order office supplies, and ensure the environment remains professional and efficient., • Systems & General Admin Support: Quickly adapt to internal, industry-specific systems. Provide general administrative backup, with the opportunity to assist in basic accounting/bookkeeping workflows as needed. Candidate Requirements • Industry Context: General office administrative experience within Construction, Real Estate, Property Management, or Architecture environments is highly preferred., • Tech-Savvy Skillset: Advanced proficiency in MS Outlook 365 and a natural aptitude for learning new software and internal databases quickly., • Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be energetic, enthusiastic, and a fast learner who maintains a highly professional demeanor., • The "Air Traffic Controller" Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail. You are someone who thrives under pressure and can juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball. Office management experience is a major plus., • Bonus Points: Basic accounting, billing, or bookkeeping exposure (e.g., QuickBooks) is a strong plus. Why Apply?
