Job DescriptionSeeking a Polysomnography Technician/Respiratory to perform PSG, PAP Titration MSLT/MWT; for adults and pediatrics Technician will be responsible for preparing and hooking patient up with electrodes/equipment, monitoring patients throughout the PSG, input pertinent notes and uploading data to server. Preferred NYS Polysomnographic /NYS Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) NYS Respiratory Therapist (RT) license. Current registration as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), registry eligible OR for Respiratory Therapy Technician, current registration from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required. We require: • High School Diploma or equivalent required., • One-year experience in OPWDD field required. Two (2) years of ACLD experience preferred., • Complete (within 90 days of hire) and maintain required training in SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) Restrictive Certification, CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)., • Obtain (within 180 days of hire) and maintain AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel)., • The ability to assist with lifting and transferring a person., • Ability to communicate and understand in English; both verbally and in writing., • Clean valid NYS driver’s license., • Ability to apply common sense understanding, to carry out detailed written or oral instruction.
