Job DescriptionSeeking a Polysomnography Technician/Respiratory to perform PSG, PAP Titration MSLT/MWT; for adults and pediatrics Technician will be responsible for preparing and hooking patient up with electrodes/equipment, monitoring patients throughout the PSG, input pertinent notes and uploading data to server. Preferred NYS Polysomnographic /NYS Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) NYS Respiratory Therapist (RT) license. Current registration as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), registry eligible OR for Respiratory Therapy Technician, current registration from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required. For Respiratory Therapist, current registration from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) AND Registry (RRT) required. We have great opportunities for positive, motivated individuals to work in a day hab setting assisting adults diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities in becoming self-sufficient and self-actualized. In this position, you will: • Help program participants achieve/exceed their personal goals;, • Provide structure and emotional support;, • Assist in resolving behavioral issues;, • Help people supported with personal hygiene;, • Complete detailed, accurate documentation, • Transport the people supported to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles. We require: • High School Diploma or equivalent required, • One year experience in OPWDD field required. Two (2) years of experience preferred, • Complete (within 90 days of hire) and maintain required training in SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) Restrictive Certification, CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), First Aird, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator), • Obtain (within 180 days of hire) and maintain AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel), • The Ability to assist with lifting and transferring a person, • Ability to communicate and understand in English; both verbally and in writing, • Clean valid NYS Driver's License Schedule: Sun 7a-3, Mon 10a-8p, Thurs 11:30-8:30, Fri 12:30-8:30 Salary Range: 22.00-24.00 Some programs/locations may have a differential in addition to the hourly rate.
