Job DescriptionDescription: Sunset Park Radiology is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee daily operations across a high-volume outpatient imaging center including Mammography, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and DEXA services. This role is responsible for staffing coordination, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, accreditation readiness, continuity of patient care, operational oversight, and workflow management across all imaging modalities. The Technical Manager serves as a liaison between radiologists, administration, technologists, vendors, IT, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality imaging operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Primary Responsibilities: • Coordinate resources, staffing, workflow, and patient throughput to ensure safe, efficient, and quality patient care operations across all imaging modalities, • Directly manage and support approximately 28 technologists and clinical staff including scheduling, onboarding, orientation, timekeeping, performance management, probationary and annual evaluations, mentoring, and coaching, • Review resumes, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and participate in recruitment and hiring initiatives for clinical staff, • Ensure proper staffing coverage across all modalities and shifts while addressing operational issues, workflow disruptions, urgent/add-on requests, and equipment downtime in real time, • Collaborate closely with radiologists, leadership, front desk staff, administration, and IT to support operational efficiency, patient experience, and continuity of care, • Communicate, implement, monitor, and educate staff regarding departmental policies, workflow initiatives, quality programs, and operational process improvements, • Conduct productivity audits, imaging quality audits, and workflow reviews to ensure technical quality, compliance, and operational efficiency, • Obtain, organize, analyze, and communicate departmental operational and productivity data while providing recommendations for workflow and process improvements, • Maintain all radiologic services in accordance with federal, state, local, ACR, MQSA, NY DOH, EviCore, MRI safety, and other regulatory standards, • Oversee and maintain ACR applications, accreditations, QA/QC programs, physicist testing coordination, radiation safety documentation, and inspection readiness across all applicable modalities, • Serve as MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) and oversee MRI safety screening protocols and compliance practices, • Coordinate mammography and breast imaging operations including stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy workflows, • Facilitate support, optimization, and workflow coordination for imaging informatics systems including Fuji RIS/PACS, PowerScribe, TeraRecon, Dynacad, and related workflow platforms, • Coordinate vendor relationships, service agreements, contract renewals, preventive maintenance schedules, service requests, equipment repairs, operational purchasing, supply ordering, and maintenance record keeping, • Participate in departmental budgeting processes related to staffing, equipment, operational resources, and supplies, • Provide hands-on clinical imaging coverage as operationally needed, • Maintain professionalism, strong communication, attention to detail, and positive working relationships with staff, leadership, physicians, vendors, and patients, • Perform additional operational and departmental duties as assigned based on organizational needs Requirements: · Graduate of an accredited radiography program required · Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred · NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT(R) certification required · Prior lead or supervisory experience within outpatient imaging operations required · Advanced ARRT certification preferred (MRI and/or CT) · Preferred Licenses: Radiologic Tech Lic IV Cert-NYS · MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) certification preferred · Strong knowledge of ACR, MQSA, NY DOH, MRI safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance standards · Experience with outpatient imaging workflow management and imaging informatics systems preferred · BLS certification through the American Heart Association required or obtained within 90 days of hire · Continuing education requirements must be maintained in accordance with governing body standards · Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required Benefits: · Paid vacation days · Paid holidays · Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance · Medial FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and commuter benefits · 401K retirement plan
