Job Description Title: Group Leader Reports To: Program Director, MS 363 Location: 120 East 184th Street, Bronx, NY 10468 Hours: Up to 20 hours/Week; Non-Exempt; Schedule: School Year / September - June / Monday - Friday, 2pm to 6pm Salary: $17.50 - $18.50/ hour Job Summary: The After School Group Leader is responsible for the overall safety, development, management, organization and planning of their group. Summary: New York Edge is seeking a passionate, mission-driven team-builder to fill the After School Program Director role. In this full-time role, you will be accountable for the growth, quality, and success of the assigned after-school program operation, its students, and staff. The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to manage the day-to-day operations to ensure that New York Edge quality standards and guidelines are met and that the program meets all contract requirements. Education Requirement: * Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Education, Psychology, or Social Work * At least 18.0 credit hours from an accredited college or university in the field of Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field preferred Experience Requirement: * Minimum of three (3) years experience in urban education, youth development or community organizing with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. * Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with youth & adolescents in New York City.
