Job Description About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Remote Call Center Representative to support patient scheduling for a leading health system. In this role, you will play a critical part in coordinating access to care by scheduling appointments efficiently and accurately across multiple service lines. Although this position is remote, candidates must live within a commutable distance to Plainview, NY for occasional onsite training, meetings, or operational needs. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a high volume of inbound calls with a primary focus on patient appointment scheduling, • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments across various specialties using electronic scheduling systems, • Ensure appointments are aligned with provider availability, visit type, and patient needs, • Verify patient demographic and insurance information at the time of scheduling, • Provide clear instructions regarding appointment preparation, location, and required documentation, • Identify urgent needs and escalate or triage calls appropriately, • Maintain accurate and detailed records in electronic health record (EHR) systems, • Deliver a high level of customer service while meeting scheduling accuracy and productivity goals, • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred, • 1-2 years of experience in scheduling, call center, or healthcare access roles preferred, • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex scheduling workflows, • Excellent communication and customer service skills, • Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems in a fast-paced environment, • Familiarity with EHR or scheduling systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus, • Must reside within a commutable distance to Plainview, NY, • Ability to attend onsite training and periodic in-person meetings as required We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO) , and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).
