This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving and change management to maintain operational excellence and drive business success. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee store performance, inventory accuracy, and customer experience, ensuring alignment with Joyleaf's standards in service, education, and regulatory compliance. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for team coordination, operational execution, and compliance enforcement, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will lead training initiatives, drive KPI's, and ensure smooth daily operations, preparing both yourself and your team for long-term growth and success in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Skills/Experiences Required: • Supervisor Experience: Demonstrated leadership as a supervisor, prior experience managing people, providing feedback and ability to mentor, motivate and guide a team towards achieving sales & operational goals effectively, • Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Sharp ability to provide constructive feedback, engage in active listening and communicate effectively with empathy and understanding, • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized individual with a meticulous attention to detail, capable of following processes and ensuring accuracy in all tasks., • Change Management and Emotional Intelligence: Proficient in change management practices, displaying emotional maturity to navigate challenges and adapt positively to evolving situations., • Sales and Customer Service: Experience in sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, adept at customer relationship management and driving revenue growth., • Driving KPIs/Compliance: Skilled in driving service and operational excellence and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring continuous improvement, adherence to compliance and alignment with organizational goals., • Cannabis Experience (Plus): Knowledge or experience in the retail cannabis industry is advantageous, although not mandatory, demonstrating a strong interest or background in the field. High Level Overview of Responsibilities: • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and support a team of Retail Leads and Associates in delivering exceptional customer experience and execution of shift activities., • Operational Execution: Responsible for ensuring team is assigned the right tasks for store readiness at opening, including security, cleanliness, organization, supporting cash administration and adherence to safety protocols, and oversee closing procedures., • Inventory & Compliance Management: Manage incoming deliveries, conduct compliance audits, verifying wholesale costs, lab data, and order accuracy, and coordinating vault processing and stocking., • Customer Experience & Sales Leadership: Lead by example on the sales floor, utilizing Joyleaf Way of Selling to maximize customer experience and sales performance., • Training & Development: Support new hires through onboarding and mentorship, reinforcing company values and expectations. Physical Demands/Requirements: This position requires the employee to frequently remain stationary (sit or stand) up to 50% of the time or more on occasion. Employees will frequently operate a computer and/or other machinery. Employees may be required to lift and carry boxes of more than 10 pounds frequently and may occasionally be required to lift boxes of more than 30 pounds. The person in this position frequently communicates with staff members, leadership and customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in various types of customer service, employee relations, business, and/or retail situations.
