Job Description Nurse Supervisor (Associate Director of Nursing – Behavioral Health) Location: New York, NY 10037 Duration: 14 Weeks Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Hours: 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day) Department: Behavioral Health (CPEP / Inpatient / Outpatient) Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Associate Director of Nursing) to provide leadership and operational support within a Behavioral Health department. This role is responsible for enhancing patient care quality, improving staff performance, and ensuring efficient operations across CPEP, inpatient, and outpatient services. Key Responsibilities • Plan, develop, and implement initiatives to improve patient care quality and staff performance, • Monitor nursing unit performance and collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with clinical standards, • Identify performance gaps and support corrective action planning, • Oversee nursing operations across CPEP, inpatient, and outpatient behavioral health units, • Maintain systems for tracking medication errors, incidents, and staff-related documentation, • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards, • Support staffing coordination, workflow optimization, and operational planning, • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff, • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting, • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and supportive patient care environment, • Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staffQualifications, • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required), • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (required), • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required), • Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role (required), • Strong experience in Behavioral Health nursing (preferred), • Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred), • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and clinical units effectively, • Experience with performance improvement and quality assurance processes, • Strong understanding of patient safety standards and regulatory compliance For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
