Job DescriptionHybrid Payroll Specialist | Poughkeepsie, NYJoin a Growing Team as a Payroll Specialist We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong ADP, multi-state payroll, garnishment, and payroll tax expertise to support a high-volume, full-cycle payroll operation. Location & Schedule 📍 Poughkeepsie, NY 🏢 Hybrid Schedule – 1-2 Days Onsite Per Week 🕗 Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities • Process and administer full-cycle, multi-state bi-weekly payroll, • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, • Manage payroll changes including:, • New hires, • Terminations, • Employee status changes, • Compensation updates, • Process complex payroll transactions including:, • Garnishments, • Tax withholdings, • Bonuses, • Commissions, • Incentives, • Reimbursements, • Ensure accurate payroll tax reporting and compliance, • Reconcile payroll records, tax filings, and general ledger accounts, • Prepare and distribute annual W-2s, • Support quarterly and year-end payroll reporting requirements, • Review payroll registers and audit payroll data for accuracy, • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, • Respond to employee and management payroll-related questionsRequired Qualifications ✅ 3+ years of payroll experience ✅ Hands-on experience processing full-cycle bi-weekly payroll ✅ Strong experience with ADP ✅ Multi-state payroll processing experience ✅ Experience managing garnishments and employee tax withholdings ✅ Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and reporting ✅ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills ✅ Excellent communication and customer service abilities Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, • Experience supporting payroll audits, compliance, and reporting activities, • Knowledge of payroll best practices and process improvementsTop Skills, • ADP, • Full-Cycle Payroll Processing, • Bi-Weekly Payroll, • Multi-State Payroll, • Garnishments, • Employee Tax Withholdings, • Payroll Taxes, • W-2 Processing, • Payroll Compliance, • Payroll ReconciliationIdeal Experience We are specifically seeking candidates who have independently managed full-cycle bi-weekly payroll and have strong, hands-on experience with: • ADP Payroll Systems, • Multi-State Payroll Processing, • Garnishment Administration, • Employee Tax Withholdings, • Payroll Tax Compliance, • Payroll Reconciliations This is an outstanding opportunity for a payroll professional looking to join a stable organization while leveraging their expertise in ADP and complex payroll processing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
