Job Description Join Our Early Childhood Special Education Team – Inspire Young Minds Ages 18 Months–5 Years! Program: Early Childhood Program Location: Ronkonkoma, Medford, Huntington, NY Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (12-month school schedule, no weekends) Pay: Bachelor’s: $50,000–$77,500 | Master’s: $55,000–$88,000 About Us: At DDI, we provide exceptional educational and therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities. Our Early Childhood Program helps children aged 18 months to 5 years build a strong foundation for learning, independence, and success. Your Role: We’re looking for a passionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team! You’ll design and deliver individualized instruction, support each child’s growth, and collaborate with families and therapists to create meaningful learning experiences. Key Responsibilities: · Develop and implement IEPs tailored for preschool-age children. · Deliver engaging, play-based lessons that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skill development. · Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity. · Work closely with families and a multidisciplinary team (speech, occupational, physical therapists) to support each child’s unique needs. · Monitor and document progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed. · Conduct assessments and participate in team meetings to optimize support for each child. Requirements: · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field. · NYS Certification in Early Childhood Special Education or Students with Disabilities, Birth–Grade 2. · Experience with children with developmental disabilities preferred. · Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with children and families. · Creativity, patience, and flexibility in designing learning activities. · Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in special education. · Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
