Job DescriptionJob Title: Electro Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianJob Description This role involves maintaining all plant equipment to ensure efficient processing of products by utilizing preventive maintenance programs and correct maintenance procedures. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to safe workplace practices. Responsibilities • Ensure optimal functioning of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing both planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, and processing equipment., • Be readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations., • Inspect machines and equipment to identify issues, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments for continued production operations., • Utilize hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, repair, and test parts/equipment on plant and production equipment., • Troubleshoot and maintain diverse equipment including motor controls, BFD, refrigeration, mixers, conveyors, sensors, printers, and packaging equipment., • Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service., • Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high-quality standards., • Maintain effective communication with other departments, management, and employees regarding potential problems or concerns affecting production efficiency., • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with SOPs., • Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for process enhancements., • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area., • Adhere to required safe work practices including lockout-tagout procedures, wearing required PPE, safe chemical handling, and fall restraints.Essential Skills, • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems., • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance, including PLC troubleshooting., • Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures., • Ability to inspect equipment and take corrective action to prevent downtime., • Skills in evaluating, repairing, and operating production equipment., • Welding and hand and power tool skills for equipment repair and maintenance.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High School Diploma or GED preferred; formal engineering/maintenance training desired., • Minimum of two years' experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably in the food and beverage industry., • Experience with electrical, mechanical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, and HVAC systems., • Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred., • Ability to accurately perform arithmetic operations and follow directions.
