Position Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. This role will perform account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and support budgeting, internal audits, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities, and a proactive mindset focused on improving processes and efficiencies within the accounting function. Job Duties & Essential Functions: * Record and reconcile financial transactions within the General Ledger * Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with the month-end close process * Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting * Perform account reconciliations, including monthly bank reconciliations for operating accounts * Assist with analysis of actual financial performance compared to budgets and prior periods * Support the preparation of sales tax filings and related documentation * Perform financial statement analysis and assist in identifying trends or variances * Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for lenders, partners, and management * Support internal audit processes and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with GAAP * Identify opportunities for process improvements and support initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting workflows * Complete ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests, including general ledger analysis and schedule preparation * Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management Required Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance * 2+ years of accounting experience * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis) * Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP principles * Experience performing account reconciliations and financial analysis * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Demonstrated ability to identify and support process improvements and operational efficiencies * Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Work Schedule: • Monday - Friday Salary Range: • $70,000 to $78,000 commensurate with experience Benefits: We aim to take care of our teammates the same way we take care of our patients.
