bluSkyz Aviation Services, a vendor service provider to the airline industry, is currently seeking Aircraft Deicers to support the Newark International airport community. Prior experience and training are preferred but not necessary. We will train those who demonstrate the willingness to learn. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable working at various heights, have strong attention to detail, and be able to operate all equipment in a safe manner. Core Responsibilities: - Operate ground equipment safely, with the objective to deice/anti-ice aircraft in accordance with Company and government regulations - Perform safety checks to ensure deicing/ anti-icing equipment is in proper working order - Communicate concerns to the management team as they arise - Demonstrate techniques learned during training to deice/ anti-ice aircraft safely, accurately, and in a timely fashion - Fill trucks with fuel and fluid necessary for operational needs Requirements: - Must attend all required classroom and practical training sessions - Must demonstrate the ability to work comfortably at various heights (40+ feet off the ground) - Possess the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and management staff - Remain alert and vigilant at all times - Operate all equipment in a safe manner - Possess a valid U.S driver’s license in good standing - Must be willing to work in a drug free work environment, including complying with DOT per-employment drug testing requirements - Selected candidates must be able to obtain an Airport Badge with the PANYNJ - Working in a team atmosphere is essential Compensation: Part-time, $21.00 per hour
