    The Driver safely operates the delivery vehicle, and follows designated routes to deliver products to customers in a timely, organized manner. The driver is responsible for physically unloading product from the truck and moving product into customer locations. Duties And Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck, driving various routes during business hours Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes on a daily basis Follow specific delivery routes and time schedule to meet or exceed delivery deadlines Respond to back-calls and pick-ups from vendors or customers as needed Load and unload a delivery vehicle using hand trucks, pallet jacks, fold-downs and/or by physically carrying items. Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customer contacts at each delivery site Collect payments from customers in the form of cash or check, record invoices, and give all to VP of Operations or Day Logistics Clerk at end of shift. Understand and comply with DOT regulations Understand and comply with company Driver Safety Manual Complete driver medical certification every two years Handle all products with care to avoid damages and loss Take initiative to accomplish open tasks; be proactive and seek additional work when available Maintain positive work relations; support team work and help coworkers to accomplish team goals Listen and communicate respectfully with employees at all levels within the organization Attendance; Maintain regular attendance and follow call out and time off procedures as outlined in the handbook. Work Environment This job operates in a delivery vehicle travelling on major roadways in multiple cities and states. When making deliveries, moving in and out of customer locations, the role is exposed to outdoor elements such as weather. The position routinely uses hand trucks, pallet jacks and fold-downs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work begin at approximately 5:00 a.m. and end when deliveries or pick-ups are completed. Start and end times will vary based on routes assigned. The total hours per week are a minimum of 40 hours and may exceed 40 hours per week on a regular basis. This position may occasionally require longer hours when workload or project deadlines require it. Travel Travel includes daily driving of a delivery vehicle on designated routes throughout various cities and states. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Responsibilities: Under direction, operates, maintains, and repairs all components of the water pumping, storage, and distribution system. Read, record, and transmit water meter readings. At times it will be necessary to work extended hours or in inclement weather or during nighttime conditions, including holidays. Operators are required to serve in a system standby rotation and be available to respond to water emergencies.
