Job Description The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the continued growth and operational excellence of IntelliShift. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this position is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting while driving efficiency and consistency in accounting operations. This individual will be hands-on in managing the month-end close, maintaining reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring the integrity of revenue and expense accounting. The role partners closely with both the FP&A function (led by the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A) and the broader Finance and Operations teams to ensure seamless alignment between accounting results and forecast performance. Financial Reporting · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. · Ensure the timely and accurate closing of accounting periods in Sage Intacct. · Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, deferred revenue, and accrued expenses. · Perform variance analyses and assist FP&A in explaining differences between actual results and forecasts. · Support consolidation and intercompany accounting, including elimination entries and reconciliations. · Maintain documentation and schedules supporting audit readiness and management reporting. Tax Compliance · Ensure compliance with multi-state tax requirements and nexus rules for sales and use taxes. · Manage state sales tax filings and reporting through Avalara or equivalent integrations. · Assist with income and franchise tax filings by coordinating with external tax advisors and preparing supporting schedules. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations relevant to the company’s multi-state footprint.
