This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment. • Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, • Manage a group of patients safely and effectively in both Med/Surg Tele and higher-acuity float settings, • Administer medications in accordance with UHS policies and standards, • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and health promotion, • Participate in shared governance, unit councils, and quality improvement initiatives, • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards, • Contribute to a positive learning environment for new staff and students, • Demonstrate UHS core values in all interactions, • Perform other duties as assigned, • Critical care experience required (must be able to float into higher-acuity units), • 6 months–3+ years RN experience accepted, • Strong competency in:, • Telemetry interpretation, • Acute care nursing, • Clinical prioritization, • Critical thinking and problem-solving, • Patient and family communication, • Reliability, safety awareness, and adaptability across units, • Previous acute care or ambulatory care nursing experience, • BSN preferred, • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required), • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), • Current NY RN license BLS AHA Olaro Company Description Olaro is a trusted partner in healthcare staffing, connecting nurses and allied health professionals with opportunities nationwide.
