Job Description Exciting opportunity for a growing forklift company for a Class A CDL Truck Driver. We are seeking someone who is mechanically inclined, has great people skills, and a desire for something more! If you can work with your hands, like to deal directly with the customer, and take pride in your work - you just might have what it takes to be successful as a Truck Driver. This job will allow you to grow with our business and work directly with ownership in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking Truck Driver who can problem solve and think independently while completing tasks accurately and efficiently. Rate is negotiable depending on experience. This is a union position. Benefits: 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. shop hours • Eligibility for overtime with management approval, • Vacation/Sick Time as per Union Standards, • Paid holidays after six months of employment, • Optional Medical & Dental Benefits – available after 90 days of employment, • Optional 401(k) plan – quarterly based enrollment, • Membership in Union Shop – International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers – Probationary period of 90 days from the start date. Initiation fee of $500., • Union Pension Plan – includes an additional $3.00 per hour towards the pension for hours worked., • Work independently to transport needed equipment to and from customer locations with a commercial truck., • Safely and properly unload and load forklifts and related items form the truck as required, • Drive vehicles to deliver and pick up forklifts/aerial lifts as needed, • Stock and assist with moving of forklifts and equipment, • Maintain tools, equipment, and delivery truck in efficient operating condition, keep clean (inside & out), • Lift a minimum of fifty-five (55) pounds, • Ability to maintain and follow written documents as instructed, • Ability to location customer's location and use GPS to follow, • Ability to operate forklifts, • Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck (manual trucks), • Load and unload cargo/forklifts leveraging chains, straps and binders, • Properly track and document activity log, • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch, • Inspect truck before and after a trip, • Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields, • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), • Must meet and maintain C&C Lift Truck's qualifications for Commercial Drivers, • Commercial driver's license, • OSHA certified in forklift safety is a plus, • Self-starter and can work independently, • Great organizational and multi-tasking skills, • Ability to handle physical workload, • Strong work ethic We are an equal opportunity employer.
