I am conducting interviews this week and looking to hire immediately.Job Title: HR Specialist - 100% Remote RoleJob Description Under moderate supervision, the HR Specialist will provide essential administrative support within the HR department, focusing on onboarding, off-boarding, and new hire orientation. The role involves processing various employment-related paperwork, maintaining personnel files, and handling confidential employee and payroll information. Additionally, the HR Specialist will generate reports from the HRIS database, offer customer service, and serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Responsibilities • Provide administrative support to HR functions such as onboarding, off-boarding, and new hire orientation, • Process employee status changes, database updates, pay changes, and other confidential employee data, • Organize, maintain, and update personnel files and ensure electronic file keeping, • Handle confidential employee and payroll information with the utmost confidentiality, • Prepare standard reports and fulfill special information requests using strong Excel and reporting skills, • Generate and develop standard reports from HRIS database while ensuring confidentiality, • Provide customer service and respond to routine HR policy and procedure inquiries, • Counsel employees to resolve HR or payroll data issues as needed, • Manage unemployment insurance notifications, • Maintain knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and regulations and provide guidance, • Assist with new hire orientation, terminations, and related documentation, • Conduct exit interviews, prepare monthly exit reports, and review findings with leadership, • Support immigration processes for new hires and international employee transfers, • Conduct periodic I-9 audits to ensure compliance and valid work authorization, • Assist with HR projects as assigned by HR management, • Ensure confidentiality and security of records and information, • Perform additional duties as requiredEssential Skills, • Human Resources, • Employee Relations, • Exit Interviews, • HR Administration, • Workday, • Onboarding, • Data EntryAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • Strong Excel and reporting capabilities, • Ability to generate queries and ad-hoc reportsWork Environment This role offers a remote/hybrid work environment, requiring only 6 days per month in the office and you can pick the days. The standard office setting provides a professional environment for collaboration and productivity. Occasional overtime may be required depending on workload demands, sometimes on short notice. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Union, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
