Job Description Overview Annseal is a leading pavement-maintenance contractor serving the Northeast. Position Summary The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction and road maintenance equipment. This includes small engine routers and saws, material melters, stake-body trucks, pickup trucks, backhoes, and skid steers etc. The role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on a variety of equipment. * Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections. * Troubleshoot engine and component failures for both gas and diesel-powered equipment. * Maintain and repair small engine tools, such as routers and saws. * Service and repair stakebody trucks, pickup trucks, backhoes, skid steers, and material melters. * Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance work. * Ensure all work meets OSHA and company safety standards. * Collaborate with operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime. * Order parts and manage inventory as needed.
